Teresa Wright is a Canadian journalist with more than 17 years experience covering local, regional and national news with a focus on politics and policy.
Wright has worked as a freelance journalist, with pieces published by iPolitics, The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail and The Canadian Press. She previously worked as a national online journalist for Global News covering health and worked for three years with the parliamentary bureau of The Canadian Press in Ottawa, where she covered several policy beats and party politics. Wright also previously taught journalism at Holland College in Prince Edward Island and worked for over a decade at The Guardian newspaper in P.E.I. as chief political reporter.
She has won two silver Atlantic Journalism Awards for her politics coverage in P.E.I., she was part of a team that won gold for breaking news in 2016. She also won a silver 2023 award for her coverage of Hurricane Fiona's devastating aftermath in Atlantic Canada.
